SYSTEMS OFFICER Information System and Technology Vacancy at the
UN Secretariat (UN); (07-IST-DM
OHRM-413155-R-NEW YORK); New York, NY Responsibilities This position is located in the
Department of Management, Office of Human Resources Management,
Operational Services Division, Human Resources Information Technology
Section. Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Human
Resources Information Technology Section QUALIFICATIONS Education Advanced University Degree
(Master's degree or equivalent) in Computer or Information Systems,
Mathematics, Statistics or other related field. A first level university
degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and
experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Work
Experience A minimum of seven years of
progressively responsible experience in computer applications and in
design, implementation, operations and maintenance of complex
information systems, including experience in developing and overseeing
large centralized and distributed institutional systems and including
experience at the international level. Experience in both public and
private sector organizations desirable. Experience managing projects
using a systems development life cycle methodology also desirable. Languages English and French are the working
languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in
spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of a second official
