REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TRAINING CONSULTANT

BACKGROUND
The Government of the Cross River State continues to pursue the automation of its processes in order to render quick and effective services to its people and all its stake holders. In order to ensure the success of this undertaking it realizes that ICT capacity building is critical. It therefore seeks to recruit a consultant that will support this objective.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
The duties and responsibilities of the Training Consultant shall include but will not be limited to the following:
• Coordination of Capacity Building Programmes of the ICT Development Department
• Carry out ICT skills audits, ascertain skill gaps and design courses to bridge them
• Build a team of competent trainers in the ICT Development Department
• Be the lead instructor at the Community Resource Centre

DURATION OF CONTRACT
The Contract will be for an initial period of one (1) year after which it is renewable.

REQUIREMENTS
Expressions of interests should include details and proof of the following;
• A good University degree
• At least 2 years Management Experience in ICT Training
• At least 5 years experience in the ICT industry and at least two in ICT Training in Microsoft technologies as well as Linux, Apache,
• My SQL, and PHP.
• Professional certifications in the training and in the above technologies
• The ability to communicate in spoken and written English fluently

SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Submission must be in five (5) printed and one electronic copy on optical disk in a sealed envelope addressed as shown below and clearly marked “Expression of interest CRS Training Consultant” with the name of the individual on the back. Submission should be delivered not later than 2pm Nigerian time on Friday December, 5th 2008 at the address beneath. EOls submitted in electronic format or by electronic mail only at any time before the submission deadline will not be accepted.


VERIFICATION OF CLAIMS ON THE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST DOCUMENTS
Note that the ICT Development Department reserves the right to verify all claims and documents submitted in the expression of interest documents.
