Digital Bridge Institute Vice President, Academic & Student Affairs Vacancies

The Trustees of the Digital Bridge Institute (International Centre for Advanced Communications Studies, Abuja Nigeria) are seeking a Vice President, Academic & Student Affairs for the institutions.

The Trustees seek a Vice President committed to the Institute's Mission who will lead the design and development of academic programs that will meet the expectations of the ICT industry and Trustees, as well as attract the best students and faculty members.
He or she will be reporting to the President of the institute, and will have primary responsibility to develop and implement academic planning, faculty recruitment and retention, and have key input into student recruitment. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the other DBI senior leadership, including the Vice President for Finance and Administration to identity and rationalize budget priorities.

 

 

The Vice President Academic affairs should have a postgraduate degree in a relevant field of study as well as possess the following attributes: strong leadership skills and proven ability to motivate and manage a multi disciplinary academic team; a record of teaching and research; experience in strategic planning and ability to work with diverse partners in collaborative efforts; extensive analytical skills combined with an ability to identify emerging issues with implications for DBI; ability to translate leadership policies into action; experience in leadership of academic programs and curricula development as well as enrolment and management of student affairs. A first-hand familiarity with institutes of higher education and higher education policy in Nigeria is a distinct advantage. In addition, experience with work force development, applied or policy relevant research or private sector ICT is desirable.
