The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) is implementing a Science and Technology Education at the Post Basic level (STEP-B) project whose objective is for the Nigerian federal post basic and research sub-sector to produce more and better qualified Science & Technology graduates, and higher quality and more relevant research. The following openings are available for Senior Science And Technology Advisers (Two vacancies), and Personal Assistant (One vacancy).

SENIOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ADVISER
LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT: Abuja; DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: 2 years; VACANCIES: 2.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THE ASSIGNMENT:
The job of the Senior Science And Technology Advisers are to advise the National Project Coordinator on the overall implementation of the the project in addition to other responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A doctorate degree in science and technology discipline
A minimum of 10 years management experience
Experience in projects funded by the world Bank or other international donor agencies would be an added advantageous;
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills and working in a multi-cultural environment.
Competent in computer skills, Project Management application software.

 

PROJECT ASSISTANT
LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT Abuja; DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: 2 years; VACANCIES: 1

The job of the Project Assistant is to assist the National Project Coordinator or in providing a high level of coordination and organizational project support to Project Staff in addition to other responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION
A degree of HND in a science and technology project.
A minimum of 5 years experience in projects funded by the World Bank or other international donor, agencies and previous experience as Project Assistant would be an added advantage.
Excellent analytical skills and communications skills Fluency in English and competent report writing skills
Competent computer skills and the use of project Management and ICT applications software.
