Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerians for
consultancy assignments as follows
Consultants: 1. Databank Development
Consultants; 2. GIS Expert
Type of contract: Special Service Agreement (SSA)
Organization: UNDP
Duration: 12 weeks maximum
Requirements for Databank Development
The Team of consultants shall comprise a PhD degree holder in urban and
regional planning, social science and related fields. The consultant
should have a master's degree in sociology, economics, information
management, gender and governance. The candidate should have at lease 10
years of work experience in human settlements and management, data
collection and technical reporting. An assistant with a minimum of first
degree in social science including geography, urban and regional
planning, statistics and knowledgeable in participatory approaches to
development, data collection and reporting to assist in the field work.
Requirements for GIS Expert
The consultant shall have a minimum of Master's degree in GIS with a
minimum of five years work experience in the use and sourcing
information from database using GIS for mapping towns and cities. The
candidate should be versatile in the use of ARC-Info and other related
software for mapping.
