Defence College Academic Staff Vacancies
The National Defence College
is the apex military institution in Nigeria. It was established in
June 1992 to impart knowledge and develop expertise and skills of
selected senior military and
civilian officers through a firm understanding of essential factors that
impact on national
security and preparing them for higher responsibilities at operational
and strategic levels in
national and international assignments. In pursuit of this mission, the
NDC is in search of
research-active academics for regular appointment into its African
Centre for Strategic
Research and Studies (ACSRS) for the effective conduct of its programs.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to
fill the following vacant
academic positions of the National Defence College (NDC) Abuja.
1. PROFESSOR/DEAN OF AFRICA CENTRE FOR
STRATEGIC RESEARCH AND STUDIES (ACSRS)
Must have attained the rank of a professor
A Ph.D degree in either Economics, International Relations, Strategy and
military history
Evidence of academic leadership in terms of publication, project design,
execution and
monitoring
Full time relevant teaching and research experience
15 years post-qualification experience
2.SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS - FOUR POSTS
Ph.D in either Economics, International Relations, Strategy and Military
History.
Evidence of academic leadership.
Full time relevant teaching and research experience,
10 years post-qualification experience.
3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
All candidates are required to possess appropriate skills and
orientation for respective
positions as well as possess teaching ability with adequate research
experience.
