The Computer Warehouse Group has jobs and career opportunities in Nigeria for Project Manager, Service Desk Officer, Sun Engineers and Data Centre Operators:

 

PROJECT MANAGER

Conduct project initiation, scoping, and planning sessions

Compile project scopes and definition reports
Do cost benefit analyses and compile related reports
Determine and propose project structures, select staff with applicable skills
Measure progress against weekly targets and deliverables

Conduct regular meetings with clients and hold feedback sessions with project staff
Determine and agree quality measures & controls.
Manage quality accordingly
Manage integration with other projects
Prepare project close up documentation
Project delivery within budget (time & financial) and within defined quality criteria

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
B Sc. Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or related discipline.
Certification in project management or relevant training will be an advantage.
Minimum experience required: 5 years project management experience

KEY SKILLS
Project management skills,
Negotiation skills persuasive and presentation skills
The person be must be able to think outside the box, be self motivated, innovative and able to use own initiative
He/she must also possess interpersonal & team building skills


SERVICE DESK OFFICER

Receive and log all support calls, classify the calls and attempt a resolution.
Escalate to second line support issues that cannot be resolved within agreed service matrix.

Follow up with assigned engineer to resolution
Collect or deliver documents and equipments to and from
various locations of Computer Warehouse Group
Assist with asset deployment
Assist with asset management
General assistance and backup within the department
Liaise with third party vendors

Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Customer focused and open minded
High level of commitment, accountability, integrity, assertiveness, innovation, confidence, and can -do attitude

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
BSc/HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least one year post NYSC relevant experience in the IT department of a structured company or an IT company.


SUN ENGINEERS & DATA CENTRE OPERATORS
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
The technical resources that will be expected to deliver these services must as a minimum possess the following training, skills and work experience:

First degree in any discipline preferably Computer Science or Engineering
ITIL Foundations
Solaris Certified System Administrator 9/10 (Sun Solaris Certified Systems Administrators, details to be provided to MTNN for verification)
Oracle Certified Associate/Professional (Details to be provided for verification)
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (Details to be provided for verification)
Minimum of 3 years experience in IT/communication environment, including hands-on technical service provisioning
Working knowledge of Incident Management process and Configuration management function in line with ITIL standards
Working knowledge of enterprise management software (patrol, HP OpenView, NetStat Live, Unicenter, etc)
Effective and Efficient Quality Customer Service

KEY SKILLS
Good people management and administrative skills
Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Customer focused and open minded.
High level of commitment, accountability, integrity, assertiveness, innovation, confidence, can-do attitude and attention to detail
All required certifications to be completed within the first three months of the contract duration

For the position of Sun engineer, in addition to the above, the person must have attended any of the Sun Microsystems trainings in South Africa.
