ITA, International Agriculture Research Centre with Headquarters at Ibadan seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way, in order to improve the nutritional status and wellbeing of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa.

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the following positions at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.

POSITION
SPECIAL PROJECT OFFICER (2 year renewable contract)

Successful candidate will calculate, update annual budgets; book Special Projects Core Shift; check, monitor, update Cost Centre status on Oracle and attend to queries on NARS; prepare Donors financial statements and Management Report Schedules; design and run Financial Reports using Oracle Financial Statement Generator (FSG) and perform any other duties as may be assigned.
- Qualification and Experience BSc/HND Accounting or equivalent, ICAN PE II with minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

Candidate must:
Be able to read and interpret MoUs/Contract Agreements correctly. Possess strong analytical ability, be articulate in report preparation and presentation, have strong operating knowledge of MS packages and Oracle Financial Applications.


Position
MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT (2 year renewable contract)

Successful candidate will install, repair and maintain drinking water, sewage and swimming pool plants; treat and supply about 1.2 million litres of high quality drinking water per day; oversee quality control of all waters; initiate procedures for purchase of spare parts, chemicals and supervise the staff of the unit.
- Qualification and Experience BSc/HND Mechanical, Plant or Water Engineering plus minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a water treatment plant.

Excellent knowledge of Water Plant maintenance; good interpersonal relations and readiness to work on weekends. Computer literacy is a must.


Position
SOUS CHEF (2 year renewable contract)

Successful candidate will assist the Head chef with the general supervision of the kitchen, cooking of food and perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Qualification and Experience ND in Catering and Hotel Management plus at least five (5) years relevant working experience in a similar position in large hotels.

The candidate is expected to be hardworking, highly dedicated, reliable, ready to work long hours and handle pressure well.
