Nigeria Internet Group Annual Conference

07-Dec-09 - -bussiness (Internet Technology Driven Business) has continued to be a catalyst to accelerate economic growth in many countries around the world. With recent developments in the Nigeria ICT sector, Nigeria looks set to join the rest of the world in driving its economy with e-Business.

Some of the most significant development includes the re-delegation of .ng TLD, the budding e-Payment services and the emerging international fiber cable from MainOne and Globacom.

According to its release, the Nigeria Internet Group, is excited about these developments and has decided to make e-business the focus of this year’s annual conference of the Group.

This conference, which is being organized in collaboration with the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) and National Information Technology Development (NITDA) shall examine critical success factors to e-Business adoption in Nigeria, which include improve broadband penetration, pervasive e-payment services, skilled manpower, appropriate legal and regulatory framework and political will from Government to implement the right policies.
