Research Centre with Headquarters at Ibadan seeks to increase
agricultural production in a sustainable way, in order to improve the
nutritional status and wellbeing of people in tropical Sub-Saharan
Africa.
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable
candidates for the following positions at the Institute’s Headquarters
in Ibadan.
1. Position: MIS Senior Technical Analyst
(Two-Year Renewable Contract)
Successful candidate will provide effective computer programming and
back up support for the financial and management information systems of
the institute; maintain, document and implement both existing and
prospective applications systems software; put in place such structures;
interfaces, or writing programming/routines that will ensure seamless
and efficient functioning of the MIS and perform any other duties
assigned.
Qualification and Experience: B Sc/HND in Computer Science (or related
discipline) or equivalent academic/professional qualifications plus 5
years hand-on-experience in robust programming and system analysis with
emphasis on business and management applications, Programming experience
in three or more high-level languages such as BASIC, COBOL, FORTRAN,
PASCAL, ORACLE, Microsoft Access, VB Script, JAVA, ASP etc are required.
2. Position: Buyer (Two-year Renewable Contract)
A successful candidate is expected to complement and strengthen the
efforts of the purchasing sub-unit in the delivery of customer services.
He/She will in particular be involved in the procurement of materials
and services, and be under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
B Sc/HND in Purchasing & Supply and/or final stage of The Chartered
Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria or CIPS, UK
with the NYSC certificate. Minimum of 3 years post qualification
experience in a commercial or complex organization is required.
