COMMUNICATION SATELLITE - NIGCOMSAT VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Nigeria Communication Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited is a company under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, whose mission is - "To be the leading Communication Satellite Operator and Service Provider in Africa." NIGCOMSAT is a young, new, vibrant
& innovative company that shall manage and operate the first
geostationary communication satellite in Sub-Saharan African due for
launch in 2007, i.e. the Nigerian Communication Satellite (NigComSat-1),
which has C, Ku, Ka and L bands. NIGCOMSAT is committed to effective
delivery of secure, qualitative and value-added satellite services
through a Pan-African product - NigComSat-1. 1. LEGAL
OFFICERS (2) - Ref: NCS / LO 4210 Advanced University Degree in Law
(Masters Degree) with Specialization in Space / Commercial / Advanced
University Degree in Law (Masters Degree) with Specialization in Space / Commercial / Business Law,
Admission to the Nigerian Bar Association is compulsory. Minimum of 4
years of progressively responsible professional legal experience in the
practice of law either in the legal office of an international
organization, or in a law firm or the legal office of a public sector
organization is required. Substantial experience in international
commercial matters and / or the law of international organizations. 2.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER (1) -Ref: NCS / PM 4211 A post graduate qualification in
Purchasing/Supply or Procurement Management, membership of NIPSM with a
minimum of 10 years post qualification experience. Good internal &
external networking skills. 3.
PROCUREMENT OFFICERS (2) Ref: NCS / PO 4212 A degree in Bus Admin and a post
graduate qualification in Purchasing/Supply, membership of NIPSM and 1-3
years relevant post NYSC experience. 4. SENIOR
MAINTENANCE OFFICERS (2) - Ref: NCS / SMO 4213 A degree in Mechanical and
Electrical Engineering, membership of a prof. body and min of
6 years post NYSC experience. 5. MARKETING
MANAGER (1) - Ref: NCS / MM 4214 Advanced university degree
(Master's degree or equivalent) preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field.
8 -10 years post NYSC experience corporate environment required. Ability
and experience in developing and implementing Marketing strategy is
essential. Ability to communicate in English and French. Must have a
good knowledge of the African Business Environment. 6. BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (1) - Ref: NCS / BDM
4215 Advanced university degree
(Master's degree or equivalent) preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics and
Marketing. 8-10 years post NYSC experience required in Private Sector.
An expert knowledge of ICT is crucial. Ability to communicate in English
and French is essential. 7. SENIOR
OFFICER, COMMUNICATIONS (1)- Ref: NCS / SOC 4216 A
Post Graduate degree in Mass Communications, membership of NIPR,
and a min. of 6 years post NYSC experience in an ICT Environment.
Fluency in French and / or
Portuguese is necessary. 8. MARKETING
/ COMMUNICATION OFFICER (1) - Ref: NCS / MCO 4217 A degree in Mass Communication,
Business Administration, Sociology, membership of a professional body
and a min. of 3 years post NYSC experience. 9. ASSISTANT
MANAGER, INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (1) Ref: NCS /AMIM 4218 Advanced university degree
(Master's degree or equivalent) preferably in Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or
relevant field. 6 years post NYSC experience in a large corporate
environment required. Expert understanding of PC Architecture and
networks including knowledge of the different topologies. 10. ASSISTANT
MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES (1) -
Ref: NCS / AMHR 4219 A degree in any of the Social
Sciences, a post graduate degree in HRM, A minimum of 7 years of
progressively responsible experience in human resources management or
related area. Experience in recruitment, benefit
management, training, Performance assessment is essential. 11. SENIOR
OFFICERS, HUMAN RESOURCES (2) -Ref: NCS / SOHR 4220 A degree in any of the Social
Sciences, a post graduate degree in HRM, membership of IPM/NIM
and min. of 6 years exp, knowing of compensation system, performance
appraisal and employee relations 12. OFFICER, INFORMATION
MANAGEMENT (2) - Ref: NCS / OIM 4221 A degree in Int.Tech. Computer
Science, or electrical/Electronics, 1-3 years post NYSC experience 13. OFFICER,
HUMAN RESOURCES (3) - Ref: NCS / OHR 4222 A degree in any of the Social
Sciences, min. of 1-3 years experiences in HR Processes and practices. 14. ENGINEERS
(30) - Ref: NCS / E 4223 A degree in Electrical / Electronic
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Minimum qualifications Second Class
