PETROLEUM NIGERIA LIMITED (OPERATOR OF THE NNPC / EPNL JOINT VENTURE)
Application for the 2008/2009 EPNL Merit Scholarship Awards is on.
ELF Petroleum Nigeria Limited as part of fulfilling its core value of
sustainable development of host communities and as part of our corporate
social responsibility, it implements various categories of Education
Assistance schemes to support the educational development of its host
communities. According to Elf these efforts are intended to boost "the
manpower base of the communities and prepare youths to take up
challenging job opportunities within and outside the oil and gas
industry".
Elf Petroleum has shown high level of
commitment toward the educational development of the Nigerian nation. It
has demonstrated this in several ways, one of which is the award of
scholarships to deserving Nigerian Students in secondary and tertiary
institutions, as well as those at the post graduate level. The purpose
of the programme is to promote academic excellence and qualitative
manpower development in our communities and the nation.

2008/2009 University Merit Scholarship Awards

HOST COMMUNITIES POST PRIMARY/POST SECONDARY
EDUCATION ASSISTANCE AWARD (AKWA IBOM COMMUNITY) FOR 2008/2009 ACADEMIC
SESSION:
This Award is
open to all students of Akwa Ibom State in their JSS 2 (Basic VII)
classes in secondary schools within Nigeria and all matriculated
full-time degree students in their first/second year of studies in
tertiary institutions in Nigeria, in the mentioned courses and who are
NOT beneficiaries of any other scholarships
AWARD OF HOST COMMUNITIES UNDERGRADUATE
SCHOLARSHIP (RIVERS STATE) FOR 2008/2009 ACADEMIC SESSION
This Award is open to all matriculated full-time degree students in
their first/second year of studies in tertiary institutions in Nigeria,
in the the mentioned courses and who are NOT beneficiaries of any
other scholarships.
Applicants for the award should be indigenes of any of the following
communities
EGI, AMAH, OLO, IDU, RUMUEKPE, REBISI, MGBUESILARU, ANDONI,
For both awards, in addition to the conditions stated in the application
form, candidates must show:
proof of SSCE or equivalent certificate,
Proof of UME scores and admission to the course of study

Finance, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Pure
