The RPLD Program is a Ford Foundation-sponsored initiative aimed at honouring the life and legacy of Nigeria's former Minister of Health, Professor Olikoye Ransome-Kuti.

Graduate Fellowship and Leadership Development Award: Call for Applications

The Professor Olikoye Ransome-Kuti Graduate Fellowship is an integral part of the RPLD Program designed to support promising students as they work toward a degree in public health in Africa or Abroad. Two fellowships will be awarded to citizens of sub-Saharan Africa in 2008.
The money will be used to fund master's degree level health studies (MPH or MSc) with specialization in sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, or HIV/ and AIDS.

Research Competition for Sexual and Reproductive Health: Call for Applications

Health care in Professor Ransome-Kuti's areas of interests-primary health care, safe
motherhood, child survival and HIV and AIDS remains critically undeveloped in many parts of Sub-Saharan Africa. The Professor Olikoye Ransone-Kuti research competition will fund 1-3 grants of up to 5,000 USD each to promote research and documentation in these areas of child survival, primary health care, sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS.

Application deadline is March 31, 2008

Professionals working in all areas of public health, to include medical practitioners, lawyers, sociologists, educationists, post-graduate students, etc. Female applicants and applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.
