POST GRADUATE STUDENTS in Nigeria.

Industrial Engineering
Petroleum Engineering
Gas Engineering
Chemistry (Pure, Applied or Industrial)
Mathematics (Pure and applied)
Geology.
Physics (Pure, Applied or Industrial)
Computer Science or Engineering.
Geochemistry
Geophysics
Biochemistry
Microbiology
Petroleum Chemistry and
Energy Studies
3. ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be qualified to fill
the forms online. Candidates must:
a) Be Nigerians.
b) All candidates must have obtained at least five (5) credits including
English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at O level SSCE, NECO, GCE.
c) not be in receipt of similar scholarship from any other
institution/organization.
d) be a bona fide 200 level student and had scored a CGPA of not less
than 3.0 on a scale of 5.0 or 4.2 on a scale of 7 at his/her 100 level
examinations
OR
Had been admitted to 200 levels having scored EITHER:
i) 10 marks in UMB
ii) 8 marks at advance level GCE
iii) Upper Credit diploma level
e) Post graduate applicants i.e Masters and PhD must have evidence of
completion of NYSC or exemption certificate.
f) Applicants for Masters degree should not be more than forty (40)
years of age as at October 31, 2008 and
g) Doctoral students should not be more than forty five (45) years of
age as at October 31, 2008.
HOW TO APPLY
Interested and qualified students should visit
www.ptdfscholarships.org
for PTDF online application for and make a copy of the filled form along
with all copies of credentials as listed below and submit same to the
PTDF Chair in his /her University:
(i) UNDERGRADUATE:
a) His/her authentic university Identity card
b) A photocopy of his/her 100 level result slip
c) A photocopy of his her JAMB results slip
d) A photocopy of his/her O/level and A-level result
e) A photocopy of his/her admission or confirmation letter and
f) A photocopy of his/her Local Government indigeneship certificate
ii) POSTGRADUATE:
Masters:
a) A copy of First Degree certificate
b) A copy of NYSC certificate or certificate of exemption
c) a copy of Admission letter or confirmation letter
d) A copy of evidence indicating final result CGPA
e) a copy of GCE O/Level certificate or its equivalent.
f). a copy of local government indigeneship certificate.
(iii) DOCTORAL:
Same as in (ii) above including research proposal
CLOSING DATE:
The closing date for the LSS application forms is June 25, 2008.
