Obajana Cement Free Vocational Training for Diploma Holders
Dangote Cement, a leading cement company
located in Obajana, near Lokoja the confluence capital of Kogi state,
Nigeria is sponsoring young, talented and craft oriented National
Diploma (ND) holders on a one-year free vocational training..
The Vocational Training Scheme
This Scheme is designed to equip its participants with practical skills
in any of these specific trades:
Welding & Fabrication
Machining & Fitting
Fitting/ Mechanical Maintenance
Automobile Maintenance
Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance
The training will be facilitated by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
at its Skills Training Centre located in Ikeja, Lagos. Trainees shall
receive up-keep monthly allowance during the training. Employment will
not be automatic at the end of the training but will be dependent on
performance and availability of vacancies.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible to apply, you must not be more than 28 years old.
You are also required to have National Diploma in Mechanical,
Electrical, Chemical, Mining or Automobile Engineering with a minimum of
lower credit obtained not more than 5 years as at the time of applying
for this programme.
In addition, you must have obtained 5 credits including English,
Mathematics & Physics in SSCE, NECO, NABTE or equivalent. Only those who
meet these requirements shall be considered.

Interested candidates should submit handwritten application with CV,
copies of credentials, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, marked
VTS at the right hand corner of the envelope. The closing date for
submission of application is December 2, 2008.
