RESEARCH GRANT for Nigerian Conservation Foundation
The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) with support from
Chevron offers research grants to Nigerians wishing to undertake
research work in fields related to nature conservation / poverty
reduction and sustainable livelihood. The grant shall be for three years
leading to a PhD degree.
Candidates will be selected based on (among others) the quality of their
research proposal.
Requirements:
Candidates must
*
Be a Nigerian citizen.
*
Have held MSc Degree or equivalent qualification in Biological Science,
social sciences, or law (Environmental Law/Protection).
*
Have secured placement in a Nigerian university towards a PhD degree.
Submit a maximum of five-page (12 point font size) acceptable research
proposal on any of the following areas of research need:

General Conservation Biology
*
Ecology of Species of Special Conservation Concern
*
Sociobiology / Socioeconomics of Renewable Natural Resources
*
Environmental Education and Awareness
*
Taxonomy and Classification of Nigerian Floral and Fauna
*
Genetic investigations
*
Environmental Legislation
*
Environmental Engineering
