Happy New Year!
Wishing you and yours a safe, pleasant, healthy and prosperous 2010.2009
is gone. What you make of 2010 is entirely up to you. Our talk now is
about the new. New year, new songs, new resolutions.
But new for what? New
for the sake of new? Don't think so.
2009 is gone. How're we looking forward? Confused?
Confident? Where are we strong? Where is growth needed? Self denial
won't help. Neither will simply going with whatever comes around.
* It's uncharted territory but 2010 is entirely up to us. Is our
focus to create our future in information technology? The 900 pound
gorilla that scares all is the unknown. What will tomorrow bring?
Continually
invest in knowledge with the traditional or the uncommon.
Employ whatever works for you. Use your working combination of
knowledge, skills and experience to clear the fog of ignorance. Lifelong
learning is the fuel for career and business growth. But don't trust the
noise and window dressing.
Your learning decisions should be based on substance . What you make of 2010 is entirely up to you.
* And never forget desire. When roads get rough is complaining
the way to go? Self pity is never what the doctor ordered. Desire must
be your co-traveller. You intend to break barriers through Network
technologies, but pray what is foresight without resilience? Java is
your future, but is insight meaningful without
a driving
force? Can information security be your specialty without backbone?
* Information technology is the infrastructure of the knowledge economy.
However should our approach be solely on money and jobs? Where do people
and purpose come in? It's more about how you to differentiate and
discover yourself in information
security, programming, networking, engineering, web development or
research.
You don't have to be just another IT professional or just another IT
provider. Otherwise what is the point? Making a difference
through IT may take you out of your places of comfort. But always see
balance in the big picture. Keep perspective - think about now and also
your long term. IT is both an opportunity to own your future and make an
impact. What you make of 2010 is entirely up to you.
GO into 2010 with Enthusiasm. Otherwise what is the point?
Hook up with your passion and renew your strengths. Let's guide and
inspire each other to THINK and ACT. Ideas without action are empty.
Let's argue, learn, laugh and share together through the network as we
contribute with IT.
I thank you and other members of the Jidaw community for all your best
wishes for year as well as for the kind and thoughtful congratulatory
messages on the
NCS
Fellow Award and our
recent achievements
Thank you most importantly for your partnership. We are determined to
drive change through IT and we're counting on partners with similar
interests such as you, who share our values.
May Your 2010 be positively UNFORGETTABLE!!

Your new year message is quite interesting and serves as an
additional stimulant to my already being pursued resolve to get
the PMP certification (among others) this year 2010.
